Profile
Archiving Policy
The Researchers Journal of Science and Technology, published by the Faculty of Physical Sciences, Akwa Ibom State University, is committed to preserving the scholarly record and ensuring that published research remains accessible to readers and researchers over time. The journal therefore maintains an archiving policy designed to protect the integrity, accessibility, and long-term availability of its published content.
All articles formally published by the journal, including their final versions, bibliographic information, abstracts, and associated publication metadata, are preserved as part of the journal's permanent scholarly record. The journal makes reasonable efforts to ensure that published content remains accessible even in the event of changes to its publishing platform, editorial structure, or publication arrangements.
The journal maintains an electronic archive of its published articles and related publication records. Where possible, copies of published content may also be deposited in appropriate institutional, national, disciplinary, or other recognized scholarly repositories in accordance with applicable policies and copyright arrangements. Authors may also preserve and share their published work through institutional repositories and other legitimate academic archiving platforms, subject to the journal's copyright and licensing terms.
In the event that the journal's website or publishing platform becomes temporarily unavailable, the editorial office will make reasonable efforts to restore access to the journal's archived content. Where a major disruption affects the continuity of publication, the journal will seek to preserve its scholarly record through suitable institutional or external archiving arrangements.
The journal does not remove published articles from the scholarly record except in exceptional circumstances, such as a serious ethical violation, legal requirement, or a demonstrated threat to the integrity of the research record. Where an article requires correction, clarification, or retraction, the original publication record will be maintained whenever possible, with a clear notice explaining the action taken and linking it to the affected article.
The journal is committed to responsible digital preservation and will periodically review its archiving arrangements to ensure that published research remains discoverable, accessible, and usable by future researchers. Through this policy, the Researchers Journal of Science and Technology seeks to preserve not only individual articles but also the continuity and reliability of the scientific record entrusted to the journal.
