Authors' Duties

Reporting standards

Authors with novel/original research outcomes should objectively make an accurate account of the work carried out as well as discuss its significance. Ideal manuscript should contain adequate details with replicable mythologies and falsified or intentionally wrong statements shall represent unethical behavior and are not acceptable.

Data access and retention

Authors should be ready to provide the raw data of their research along with the paper for editorial review and make the data openly available if requested. Provided that the privacy of the participants can be protected and legal rights concerning proprietary data do not stop their release, authors should make sure that there is ease of access to  data by other experienced professionals (mostly through an institutional or subject-based data repository or other data center) for at least a decade after publication

Originality, plagiarism and acknowledgement of sources

Authors must submit only completely new/original papers, and should properly cite the work and/or words of others. Published works that are useful in arriving at the reported work must also be acknowledged appropriately.

Multiple, redundant or concurrent publication

Generally, papers that describe basically the same research outcome should not be published in more than one journal. Multiple submissions of one research outcome in journals are unethical publishing attitude, which is not acceptable. Copyrighted manuscript, which have been published and documented manually or electronically, cannot be submitted. Additionally, manuscripts that are under consideration by the REJOST should not be resubmitted to copyrighted publications. By submitting a manuscript, the author(s) retain the rights to the published manuscript. In an event of publication authors allow the use of their work under a CC-BY license [creativecommons.org], which permits others to transmit, distribute, copy the work as well as to adapt the work and to make commercial use of it.

Authorship of the paper

Authorship in REJOST is restricted to those who have made a considerable input to the idea, design, implementation, or interpretation of the reported result outcomes. All those who have made considerable inputs should be identified as co-authors. The corresponding author makes sure that only all the contributing co-authors and not the non contributing personnel are included in the list of authors. The corresponding author will also confirm that all co-authors have given consent to the final version of the paper and have agreed/approved of its submission to REJOST for publication.

Disclosure and conflicts of interest

Statement of disclosure of interest relating to any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that may be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript should be included by all authors. This implies that all sources of financial support for the research should be clearly disclosed.

Fundamental errors in published works

When an author discovers a remarkable error or incorrectness in his/her own published manuscript, it is the author’s responsibility to timeously inform the journal editor or publisher and to assist the editor to retract or correct the paper in form of an erratum in subsequent issues.
